Pastor Rick Kirchinger and his wife, Judy
Our pastor

We would be honored to have you worship with us.

Pastor Rick Kirchinger was saved at seventeen and called to preach at nineteen. He pastored thirteen years at New Hope Baptist Church in Rock Hill, three years at Secrest Grove Baptist Church, and then Alpine Baptist Church after moving to Columbia in 2003. He and his wife, Judy, were married in October 1985.

In August of 2012, the Lord led Pastor Kirchinger and a small group of believers to start Anchor Baptist Church. We started meeting in a small community room until the Lord blessed us with the property where we are now.

Committed to the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are an independent, fundamental Baptist church, and our ministry is centred on the authority of Scripture and the work of the local church.

01

Bible Believing and Bible Practicing

The Word of God is preached without apology and guides the life and ministry of this church.

02

A Church Started in Faith

Anchor Baptist Church began in 2012 with a small group of believers meeting in a community room, and the Lord has since provided the property we worship in today.

A Heart for Missions

We support missionaries on six continents, and hope to support many more as God blesses and leads.

Our Missions Ministry
Missions

Serving people near and far.

We currently support missionaries around the world, and as God blesses and leads, we hope to support many more in the future. Please help us support them by praying for them at every opportunity.

Alongside the fields listed here, the church supports work closer to home: prison ministry on the Gulf Coast, a rescue mission in Shelby, North Carolina, children's homes in Greenville, South Carolina, and ministry to United States military families.
